I write YA. I read YA. Simple as that. Well maybe not so simple.
Because I have been reading YA for so many years (way before TWILIGHT ), I’m very particular about what I pick up. It has to be unique, and not another retelling of an overly familiar fairy tale or greek myth. When I come across something I can’t put down, with writing that sings, I want to shout about it from the rooftops – or maybe just provide a review on this blog.
Amazing YA I’ve reviewed so far:
INSURGENT - Veronica Roth
CITY OF LOST SOULS – Cassandra Clare
UNDER THE NEVER SKY – Veronica Rossi
PURE - Julianna Baggott
THIS IS NOT A TEST - Courtney Summers
TEN – Gretchen McNeil
SHADOW AND BONE – Leigh Bardugo
A YA Contemporary Mash-up (Sara Zarr’s SWEETHEARTS and Laurie Halse Anderson’s TWISTED)
THE FAULT IN OUR STARS – John Green
ALTERED – Jennifer Rush
CLOCKWORK PRINCESS - Cassandra Clare

Just discovered your blog with the Mary Kole interview. Looks like we have a lot in common with reading – I’ve read Insurgent and City of Lost Souls, have Under The Never Sky on my nook to read and This Is Not A Test and Shadow and Bone on my to read list. Love your blog – I also write YA and just started a blog on WordPress – would love to hear what you think! http://www.teripolen.com
